In addition to best practices, we follow the ISA’s rigorous standards and guidelines for selecting eco-friendly products. Our team also takes care when handling, applying, or disposing of our products by:

• Properly handling hazardous chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides with best storage, labeling, and usage practices

• Ensuring proper disposal of all chemicals, including automotive products for our fleet or unused herbicides and pesticides

• Protecting against any spills and appropriately responding to any chemical releases should they occur
• Managing wastewater and stormwater in compliance with applicable regulations

In some cases, removing a tree is the best option for the safety and health of your landscape. However, we strive to keep our local environment and forested areas as healthy and full as possible. That’s why we always replenish any trees that we have to remove.

Though we operate heavy machinery and use a fleet of large vehicles to access your property, we take care to limit our carbon footprint as much as possible. As a way to support our mission to reduce our emissions, we:

• Use a no-idling policy for trucks and machinery
• Optimize routes between clients to reduce driving
• Invest in fuel-efficient trucks and battery-operated equipment
• Stay on top of equipment maintenance to boost efficiency

Focus on Waste Reduction

We strive to use or recycle as much material as possible. That’s why we follow the guidance of Lean Six Sigma principles for waste reduction. By streamlining our processes, providing customized and flexible services, and emphasizing employee training, we can keep our operations more organized and environmentally responsible. We also reduce our waste by:

• Sending clean tree trunks to sawmills for firewood and wood chips
• Use wood chips as mulch or send them to power plants for energy
• Heat our offices with leftover wood
• Collect rainwater from our roof to use for landscaping
